Truth of £99 Websites...
What to expect from £99 Websites
It appears that there are a growing number of websites offering potential clients websites for £99. As attractive as this may sound for the usual un-suspecting client, this opens a gateway of extra expenses that could fall out of control if not careful.
Whilst we are all currently experiencing a future of uncertainty at present, we all look for cheaper alternatives in making business decisions. So what do you get for £99 exactly?
I have studied two examples in this case, one on that basis that you get a three web package for this price, with additional costs for extra web pages. Whilst this is commendable in some respects, business clients often require more web pages than the standard three and so this can roll out extra costs. Take into account an e-commerce website, a website that needs to continually update through adding or removing sections of web pages. Through incorporating additional content through these web packages, hidden costs could end up costing clients the Earth!
Briefly continuing on this subject, a website will be of a standard web template which is a standard design that is in no way unique or does not take into recognition your brand or identity.
Lastly we have the £99 website packages that are rather simply poorly constructed. These websites are constructed in image maps, dynamic content which is sliced up through using graphic or web design software. These websites do not take into account the appropriate methodologies of constructing a website to professional standards and thus will cause more problems than its worth.
Whilst it may be clear that not all these so called £99 website packages offer what has been analysed above, it brings forth the question of what you will get for your money for such a price. Like the old saying, if it sounds to good to be true, it often is!
