Cross Broswer Issues & CSS Tricks
One of the key problems for designers and developers alike is the concern for cross browser compatibility layout. Whilst you may think your website looks good in one browser such as Internet Explorer 8, the same stylesheet could return unusual and unexpected results for other browsers such as chrome, safari or firefox.
With this in mind, many of us have torn the last shreds of our hair out trying to solve some of the niggling issues that CSS presents across different browsers. One trick that is a personal favourite of mine is the clear: both; div element, or rather "br clear='all' property. This property is essentially a line break that clears the surrounding elements. This trick helps put in place random elements that are out of position when displayed previously.
